Anthropic is said to be dramatically upsizing its latest fundraising round as investor appetite for AI startups shows no signs of cooling. According to reports, the company has doubled the round to $20 billion, giving it a valuation of about $350 billion.

Investor demand is overwhelming

The fundraising was reportedly oversubscribed by five to six times its original $10 billion target, allowing Anthropic to pull in significantly more capital than first planned. The new valuation represents a massive jump from just months ago, when the company raised at a much lower figure.

That kind of step-up reflects how aggressively investors are chasing exposure to leading AI model developers, especially those seen as strong enterprise players.

Enterprise traction is the story

Anthropic’s momentum has been fueled in part by growing adoption of its Claude models in business settings. Its Claude Code product, aimed at helping developers write and manage software, has also gained popularity and helped position the company as more than just a chatbot provider.

As a result, Anthropic is increasingly viewed as one of the top challengers to OpenAI in the race to dominate advanced AI systems. This new fundraising milestone would further cement its place among the most valuable private AI companies in the world.
