Apple $AAPL ( ▲ 0.34% ) just dropped a reminder that even when hardware slows, its Services machine keeps printing.
In a year-end Services roundup, Apple said the App Store averaged 850 million weekly active users at the end of 2025, up from 813 million last June, highlighting the continued scale expansion of the company’s most important growth engine.
Services Is the New Apple Growth Story
Hardware can be cyclical. Services is recurring.
Apple’s Services segment has become a centerpiece of the bull case because it’s built around high-margin, repeatable revenue streams, and the App Store is the core toll booth.
Apple takes a cut of most digital transactions processed through App Store payments, meaning more engagement directly strengthens Services economics, even without selling another iPhone.
Record App Store Activity Across Key Regions
Apple said App Store traffic hit record levels across major markets including:
the United States
China
India
Japan
That global spread matters. Services growth is no longer just a U.S. story, it’s increasingly tied to Apple’s ability to monetize engagement internationally.
More Streaming and Music, But No Numbers
Apple also said it saw record Apple TV viewership and Apple Music listenership, but did not provide exact metrics.
Still, the message is clear: Apple’s Services ecosystem is expanding across apps, subscriptions, and media, and the App Store’s user base keeps climbing as the company doubles down on monetizing its installed base.
