Epic Games picked up two major wins in its ongoing fight with Big Tech’s app stores. Reuters reports that Fortnite has returned to the Google Play Store as Epic works with Google $GOOGL ( ▲ 0.72% ) to finalize their settlement.
At the same time, a US appeals court delivered another victory by partly reversing sanctions against Apple $AAPL ( ▼ 0.3% ) in the antitrust case, saying parts of the order were too broad. However, the court upheld the contempt finding and kept a wide-ranging injunction in place, increasing pressure on Apple to allow developers to direct users to outside payment methods and loosen control over how apps monetize on iOS.
