Hims & Hers $HIMS ( ▼ 4.46% ) is expanding beyond telehealth basics and into advanced diagnostics. The company is adding Grail’s Galleri multi-cancer early detection test to its Labs offering, giving subscribers access to a blood test designed to detect signals from more than 50 types of cancer before symptoms appear.

It is a big swing into preventive health, and it is front and center in the company’s upcoming Super Bowl ad.

A Premium Test, Discounted for Subscribers

The Galleri test, made by Grail $GRAL, normally lists for $949. Hims will offer it at a $250 discount, but only to users enrolled in its Labs subscription program.

Hims recently simplified its Labs pricing into a single $349-per-year plan, after initially offering multiple tiers. The Labs product, launched in November, focuses on at-home testing and health insights and is becoming a core pillar of the company’s strategy as it shifts attention away from weight-loss treatments.

Grail’s Test Gains More Distribution

Grail has sold around 185,000 Galleri tests through the end of last year, with revenue climbing steadily. The company recently filed for FDA approval, a step that could eventually open the door to broader insurance coverage.

Galleri has already been distributed through partners like Quest Diagnostics $DGX and other health platforms. Adding Hims & Hers $HIMS expands its reach into a large, digitally native consumer base that is comfortable ordering health services online.

From Telehealth to Preventive Platform

By bundling advanced screening into a subscription model, Hims is positioning itself less as a prescription service and more as a broader preventive health platform. Featuring the Labs product in a Super Bowl commercial underscores how central this shift is to the company’s growth story.

If consumers embrace higher-end diagnostics through subscription health services, Hims & Hers $HIMS could carve out a new niche at the intersection of telehealth, testing, and long-term wellness.
